Jackson Purchase Medical Center Welcomes First Baby of 2023

Jackson Purchase Medical Center (JPMC) is ringing in 2023 with the year’s first bundle of joy. Weighing 6 pounds and 8 ounces and measuring 20 inches, Abigail was born to Audreanna and Collin, Thursday, Jan. 5, at 3:25 p.m.
“We are so thrilled to welcome the newest member of our family!” said Mom and Dad. “The physicians, nurses and staff at the New Beginnings Birthing Center were exceptional and took such great care of us. We are so thankful to them for making this experience so special.”
JPMC’s New Beginnings Birthing Center is devoted to providing high quality, compassionate care close to home for new and expecting parents in the region. The Center offers patients the choice of care from three obstetricians, virtual perinatal education classes through Birthly, prenatal care, and comfortable birthing suites designed so that labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum can all be handled in one place.
“We have a remarkable team of clinical and support staff who are dedicated to cultivating a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment for mothers and their babies year-round,” said Jessica Henson, OB director at JPMC. “Helping our community’s families welcome their newest additions in a positive and memorable way is one of our greatest privileges.”
The family received an assortment of gifts donated from local businesses, including a bedside bassinet that grows with baby up to 12 months from the hospital to encourage safe sleeping practices. The gift basket also included a child’s rocking chair from Gilliam Thompson Furniture, vouchers for newborn photography sessions from J.W. Photography and Jennifer Lee Photography, an assortment of nutrition and breastfeeding items from Momma 10, diapers from Dr. Sheena Dover, a onesie and car seat tag from Blooming Soul Boutique, a teething necklace and pacifier clip from Hello Baby, a NoseFrida and FeverFrida from Jonah Brown Boutique, a gift card from Katie J’s, and a floral arrangement from Mayfield Broadway Flowers and Gifts.
