iJackson Purchase Medical Center houses an inpatient care unit serving senior adults who seek behavioral health services and require a short inpatient stay. Treatment is available for a variety of mental health conditions in senior adults. Our highly regarded unit is designed to educate patients and families to better manage their conditions and ongoing recovery by developing healthier coping skills and a safe and secure follow-up plan for post discharge care.
We opened our newly expanded Senior Behavioral Health Unit Friday, Nov. 18. The unit features two new group rooms for therapy sessions and three additional patient rooms, which accommodate two patients each, making our total capacity 18 inpatients.

Admissions to our inpatient behavioral health unit are accepted 24 hours a day. Anyone may refer a potential patient for care, including family members, friends, physicians, psychologists and other mental health professionals, social workers, social service agencies and hospital emergency departments. Self-referrals are also accepted.
