It begins when a patient activates EMS, continues through patient discharge, and encompasses the entire facility. The Chest Pain Center (CPC) integrates an inter-departmental team working toward one common goal: to effectively and efficiently improve processes to assess, diagnose, and treat ACS.

What does the "One Call" for cardiac transfers include?
It is a 24-hour, 7 days per week emergency service for all healthcare professionals to assist in the rapid transfer of the cardiac patient.
The admission coordinator will:
- Accept the patient for facility and physician
- Receive Report from the transferring facility
- Facilitate Air Evac transport
- Beep Cardiologist STAT
- Arrange communication between referring and accepting physician
